coil packs

Help Support 4GTuner:

i think you would find that that is an exception rather than a rule polo.

obviously things will fail for what ever reason, but all in all they are one of the best ignition systems around.

non cdi coil on plug will make a little difference, more so to drivability/chrispness than out right power in most cars(maybe a slight power increase)

harry I think you will find that you have an underling proplem (as you said yourself maybe the loom)..stock coils can easily handle your power and quite a bit more for that matter. save your money and buy a loom first man.

yeh i know george, but what im trying to say is if you have coil pack issues sometimes doing a quick fix like that wont always solve it.

ive had my stock ones and have never had any issues.

loom was done last weekend and i bought a set of new stock coils the other day......coils did the trick......loom was fine but a bit dodgy.....i havnt heard anything wow about m &w......i wouldnt say theyre the best bla bla bla.....at the end of the day they are just coils....its been proven time and again ay......look at polos evo:thumbsup:

m&w are coil on plug with cdi ignition so they are way better than
any bolt on coil packs. but $$$$

cam and crank ale sensors have been changed yeah?

new loom or good second hand?

yeh cdi this cdi that! fuk it george! too much bloody money ay, ive been tossing up between stock twin coils or coil on plug but it seems stock is the best option as im staying around the 250kw area and polo is right, u shouldnt just throw on cdi when u are trying to mask problems......really, u should upgrade to cdi when ur trying to get every single last kw outta ur power curve....well thats how i look at it anyways......yeh the loom i got was 2nd hand cos i didnt wanna pay like 1300 bux for a new one when techsport had a perfect 2nd hand one in that black 6 in the back.......and yes sensors are all brand new from the build.....everything is sweet with the car now ...that miss is totally gone....just in time as my meth kit just arrived from the us:thumbsup:

im with you mate, sorry i misread and thought you stated that the loom did not fix the issue, my mistake.

stock coils will be fine for way over 300kw if all is good.

whns the meth go on?

give me a week or two to sort out mounting and installing it where noone will ever see it.....should be reasonbly stealth

sometimes it gets to the stage where you have to think whether the money u spend is worth the power gain.

I know i have gotten to that point, which is probably why i would only replace things with upgrades if i think its worth the money. e.g diff.
