Ok, the hunt for some coilovers has started!
There isn't much around these days for the Evo 1 so any suggestions or experiences would be great!

the list so far:
Hotbits
Tein super streets
G4 racing
DMS
cusco

dont make for e1:
apexi
HKS
Trust/greddy
Bilstein
Koni

feel free to list another suggestions!
I think the hotbits are winning at the moment

that isn't meant to happen anymore, apparently they just had a bad batch...

Get some CUSCO ones from Yahoo Japan!

you could always get your strut tops drilled out to suit the evo4 and newer style coilovers

i know a guy who has CE Lancer coilovers in his CC Lancer coupe

the cusco ones look good!
is there an english trasnlation to the yahoo japan pages or do u just click away and hope?

TEIN or ANything JAP

Cant trust these cheapos, end up costing you the amount you would pay for TEIN at the end

cusco look good but may be hard to have re-built. same as k-sport
I don't know if trust do a coilover for the early evos.

I think it will either be DMS(depending on cash flow), hotbits or tein at this stage!

I also saw these ones called ZEAL, look pretty good!

Cusco is better than Tein.

Tein is the bottom of the jap barrel in terms of suspension.

the only problem i see with cusco is that it might be difficult to have them serviced!
You'll have the same problem with Tein...

But it's not really, send them to Fulcrum suspension in QLD.

yeah true... I'll get some prices and go from there..
just looked on the HKS site and they make them for the E1 as well!

have you ever thought about Koni yellow + high quality springs + noltec camber/castor tops?

will set you back abit under $2000 but this will be ACTUAL quality =p and damper/camber/caster adjustable
height adjustment is not as important ..unless u want to cruise looooow :)

No I haven't really looked into that combo. To be honest I only wanna bring the front and rear down a little bit, like half an inch rear and inch front.
