Ok,

With a 4G63 powering my little ute, and with the afyermarket computer system, I just realised one thing.

I xan install a trigger switch that will run a predefined thing in the ecu.

Basically I was going to set it to trigger cutting fuel and spark, kinda like a rev limiter, but instead, using it beyond just stopping it for a split second, it'll simply cycle and compress air until I switch it off or my revs get back to idle.

Kinda like a jake brake or a dynatard...

The aftermarket ecu can do that for you ( or it should be able to). Its called the "decel cut' function. It is set up as a fuel economy aid, and it cuts fuel on decel, until a pre determined RPM ie 1700 rpm. It then reverts back to normal running.

I have rpm limit, launch limit and nlts... These are the limiters you need, in order of preference.
The commobore drivers eyes go WIDE when you run up to the launch limit at the lights. Lmfao.
I can do you a jumbuck clutch pedal with firewall reinforcing and mitsi nlts trigger with plug if you want. Same as mine, pics in my member ride.

Not a fan of exhaust braking, overpressurises the exhaust system, the manifold, the valves. You basically choke the engine on its own exhaust.
Most trucks stop fuel mechanically, or open the exhaust valves on the ignition stroke and vents fuel and and compression.
