coolant tank? overflow tank?

i was cleaning my engine bay today and noticed a hose that lead out to nothing? had a look around in my garage and found my coolant overflow tank was out?!.. i think it was taken out when my kit was put on.. should i put it back on?

its just so the water can drip straight to the ground

yeah, it is meant to point to the ground...
if you go to calder or another racetrack though they will ask you to tie a knot in it... either that or have an overflow tank for your overflow tank :roll:

its not really stupid when a car overheats and shoots out coolant onto the track then when your doing a pass your car hits the water and u go off sideways... interesting hey.. its all about safety!

the purpose of a overflow thank is to catch the over flow

its like saying, we should have 2 seat belts just in case 1 seat belt breaks..
