Hey people. I have just installed proton power windows in my coupe. The problem is they don't work.
I have a fuesed wire running from battery to blue wire on the driver door loom. Black wire had been grounded. Then the 3 wires from drivers side to passengers side I matched up. Blue/black to blue/blueblack. G/r to g/r. R/y to r/y. The looms are plugged into the switches and the regulators. But nothing is working

Regulators work fine when hooking them up by themselfs to direct power. Before instalation I had it set up on the ground (windows not attached) and it all worked fine except the passenger door button (driver door button still opened passenger door) but now it's not working at all.

Anyone know why this could be

Yup its coz you didnt wire it in properly :p

Its not as simple as connecting power to 1 side and earthing another, you need to run it through relays and fuses

See if this helps ya

realy cause thats exactly what i did.

shit i only just set this up a coupla months ago stuffed if a can rember exactly how though.

your best bet is to yank out your looms again.

and get your circuit built before you reinstall

i belive i have 3 wires running to the passenger loom and theres 4 to the drivers loom.

be aware though doing it this way will disable the window lock function.

i had complete looms to work with

first i found which pin did what in the loom there are 4 associated with the power window circuit possibly 5 (1 extra power for pass side enable window lock)

i used 1 power and 3 negetive the power is shared between both sides then there is 2 negetives for the pass side that have corresponding wires in the drivers loom (NOTE: the negetives for the pass side must go to the drivers loom) and a negetive on the drivers side loom for the whole lot. i wish i could rember the color codes but alas i cannot

(there is quite possibly and extra power that run on the window lock circuit "cuts power to pass side")

i would go take photos but it's a bitch to get too

Thats what i did when i had my red coupe. I did ran it without a relay and it posed no issues for the 2 years i had the red coupe. there was power to it 24/7 but no i never had a flat battery at all. It was daily driven though.

Suprisingly, the white 95 coupe (with vin stamped on the firewall JMFCC5h21*******) that i bought, the power window wiring was already integrated into the dash and door looms. All i needed to do was just plug the regulators, switches, factory relay into the junction box and ran the power wire from the fuse box in the engine bay and everything worked as if it was factory!.

Have yet to see another coupe with this dash wiring. Heck, doubt i'd even will see another one. Coupe's getting sold once its running.

ahh yours is with the power windows loom integrated too! nice. lemme guess, you have power mirrors as well! B)

youre right! my window lock function is disabled too. I thought i killed it somehow when i did my own wiring in the old red coupe. You mean the auto down sucked up all the juice off your battery? my drivers switch springs back into place once its done auto down.

my auto down button only springs back somtimes. nah no power mirrors yet but with the loom i have i could. i think this one even has wires for central locking. there is alot of loom i didn't use that i decide not to hack at because i might want it in the future.

My auto down works a treat and all window locks :) also is set on a 30 sec turn off delay so I can still use it when I turn the car off

Alright boys. Thanks for ur help. It's working now :) I farm blu/black to blu/black unread of to straight blue. Now it's working :) well the passenger side switch isn't. It might just be the switch. And the window lock button doesn't work either

who needs window lock anyway all it does is cut power to the other switches so you passengers can't fuck with the windows

Ha ha ha. True that. I'll use it for nos!

Um any idea why the passenger switch isn't working. Maybe the lock switch is busted so it wont let the passenger control

have you check you havn't accidently unplugged the switch. however if that was the case i don't think the passnger side reg would work maybe a bung switch
