Would any of you guys know who would be best to speak to in regards to getting custom pistons and conrods fabricated?

I'm looking to up the compression ratio and pistons are a good start along with doing a shave.

4g15, hence stating that I need custom as I doubt any of these places would have done these.

out of curiosity which side of the engine bay does your 4g15 sit??

also if your not boosting, your stock pistons just being balanced will handle the high compression. just shave the head a few mm and use the stock HG with arp head studs.........

but i believe RPW did have them listed on there site, with twin throttle bodies

Engine is on the left/passenger side. I figured may as well change both conrods and pistons to stronger units. The pistons are dead flat so if I shave the head the valve may touch.

I have been thinking turbo but every modded Mirage has that these days.

Will see how the car runs this weekend as that will give me an indication of what my next mod should really be.

dont take this the wrong way.. but your better off buying the DOHC 1.6 supercharged motor and putting this in.. probably cost you about the same as rebuilding a motor.

ahh very good, now in saying that there is a import Hyundai excel at pick-a-part in campbellfeild that has a DOHC (i believe 1.6L) complete engine and manual trans, would be a good starting point... and should bolt straight in..... at last look a few weeks back the loom and ECU were in tact.....

Dohc head swap, shaved, cams, ecu,x tractors, intake plenum, port n polish, over sized valves, twin tb's, should be fun. The twincam 1.5 revs hard, and are very very close to a 1.8 l for torque output. No one as I know it has done a hardcore, 1.5l twincam. Compared the the sohc they are a damn impressive 1.5l.
