damn internet blockers

just venting my anger, so im at work now and they just installed this internet nanny program called Optenet. blocked everything from team4g, ebay, facebook, nissansilvia and most other forums. but wait for it, they leave most porn sites open (how do i know this, i got bored and wanted to see how far they blocked everything lol), youtube is still available but they have removed the sound card cable.
so i spoke to a friend and his hooked me up with a proxy server site thats goes hidden under the radar from the program. AWESOME! how safe are these proxy servers anyway? any net geeks out there? i dont know about you guys, but forum whoring takes up 2-3 hours of my work time when its dead here so need something to pass the time away.

from the looks of your sites blocked, it seems they are tracking the most frequently visited sites and blocking those sites only. it isn't one of the generic blockers that have a set list, eg. net nanny and so on.

as for proxy servers, it all depends on where the proxy servers are and how secure they are.
