damn vibrations coming on boost

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

I replased the front mount making very little if any change.
I have noticed the tail shaft is not straight though. It seems as though the engine and the rear diff are slightly to the passanger side of the car or the centre bearing brackets are both slightly to the drivers side. There are new eng mounts and the diff bushes and suspension bushes are either new or in good condition so i doubt they are slightly towards the passanger side.

Im going to run a string line from the centre of the transfer output shaft to the centre of the pinion on the diff and adjust the holes on the centre bearing brackets to straighten the shaft. I will keep yous up to date with how i go.
Thanx, Michael.

What do the rear trailing arm cradle bushes look ike?
These are the ones that come up underneath where the passengers feet would be if sitting in the rear, you can see a 12mm bolt in the middle.

Are these bushes centred? or do they look off centre, like the cradle has walked? They need to be fairly straight, or the rear cradle is off centre in relation to the tailshaft, ive seen it before, the car had a noise from it as well.

Not to hyjack, but I am having a similar problem currnetly on my GVR4
It shudders under load from 2500rpm-3500 in 2nd & 3rd gear, not terrible, but bloody annoying.
Looknig forward to updates here

I had the exact problem with mine, except that mine would happen only after the car was driven for about 20mins then when ever you slightly accelerated the car would vibrate so bad it was almost jumping up and down at 80km to 100km.but when you backed off it disappeared.initially i changed gearbox and transfer case because i had a loud "turbine" sound from the gearbox, did improve it but later i also had found a stiff uni joint,
