today i managed to get the e6 defected for the most minor things cracked taillight the size of a 10c coin, my turbo timer harness dangling down the steering coloum and battery not secured, they didnt pick on the host of things i shoudnt have in the engine bay for sum reason.

now i have a quaestion when i take it to vic roads tomorrow will they just look at the things on the defect list or do they go over the whole car again??

fuck they are cockheads.

I got defected for similar things, when there was a lot more illegitimate stuff in the engine bay they could have actually defected me for.

id run it past the snr sergeant at your local cop shop before doing anything ...

1-AFAIk 3 or more faults and you need a fullroadworthy. So I think cops just go for the obvious untill they get 3
2-If you are lucky, the person @ vicroads will not go through the whole car only whats on the yellow sticker.
Try and get a lady inspector and go just b4 close time.
Do not go to Dandenong as they will go through the car and maybe pits too.

Skum, the lot of them!!

there are TONS of unroadworthy cars they can pull over! Has anyone noticed how many cars there are with one headlight (working) lately??

Training purposes my arse, they did it to a mate of mine when he had a silvia, and they informed him that if the mods were found back on the car it would be impounded or some crap, I think most likely if they were indeed unable to identify modifications under the bonet they will get some one who kno's to make a note of it and the next time you are pulled over, it will be marked on there system against your rego that they are there, and you will get done for it then, or they will report you to the EPA if there is a vented BOV detected etc, Cops are not all stupid and I am sure they are always coming up with new ways to hastle import cars more than they need to, like it was said before there are plenty of cars with one or all brake lights not working, headlights aimed into oncoming traffics eyes, bald tyres etc that are more of a hazard to other road users than Evo drivers.

the joys of owning a import then, im looking at getting a cover made up that covers the passangers side of the engine bay so the pod intake and bov cannot be seen, does anyone know of a place that could make this up out of perspex

I didn't have to get my car inspected at Vic Roads, I think I was lucky though.
The chick at the desk just signed off my roadworthy form
