EVO-00X said:Hard to say Dre as I still havent found any solid evidence that EVO's came off the sowroom floor with 16" wheels to date. What I have found though was a 16" wheel option for the CD9A and CE9A EVO on the FIA Homologation papers only (so considered an option for motorsport use). Every other reference to the EVO wheel diameter in the FIA document states 15" wheel. Even the photos of the EVO III all show 15" wheels.
GSRWRC said:I've come across a set of the 17" OZ racing wheels before (Couldn't afford them at the time dammit). Where on an Evo III a guy had brought in to part out. Whether these were standard or not is anyones guess, but the guy who had imported several Evo IIIs said he'd seen them a few times and reckoned they were an option.
Also, the RS 'steelies' are actually pressed alloy, have a mate here in NZ keen on a set if anyone knows of any.
Pity they are 5x114.3Dean said:There was a set of 17's on ebay 3 days ago.
No one snapped em up, were only going for $900
Liberoz said:funny that never seen a magnet stick to alloy before! ours were definately RS steelie's and weren't alloy
GSRWRC said:Probably weren't genuine then, but hey what would I know?
