Tried to search for it in the search bar and no luck.
So what are the differences?
I think i MIGHT have a jdm model.
Anyhow, inform me with your wisdom people.

Jdm has factory recaro front seats same seat as Evo 1 but same fabric as Aus spec gsr. Also climate control same as Evo I think and I'm pretty sure there would be a difference in the ecu, injectors etc as they have higher octane fuel at the pump and less restrictions on emmisions especially back in the 90's in Japan so thats only an assumption I've made but happens with most other Jdm models. Also don't the Jdm models have the auto radio antenna and rear window wiper like the early evo's??

^ Climate control, auto aerial and rear wiper yes. Although apparently not all jspecs had the electric aerial.
Other differences:
Jspec has Electric fold in mirrors
Different MOMO steering wheel
Jspec had small lights on fenders
180km jspec speedo
Jspec had speaker grills in the door skins rather than blanks

See below photo for reference. Jspec with non electric aerial. You can also see the lights on the fenders.
Also not colour coded door handles

Mine had an electric aerial on the passengers side rear 1/4. Door handles were colour coded too.
Also the lights on the guards disappeared when they facelifted them late '94

Not sure what the Aussie GSRs had on the firewall, but it should have a build plate like in the pic below (From my Evo) along with the same chassis number stamped in the firewall to the left of it.

Ok so i had a look after reading your replies, thanks guys :)

I have full electrics, and a electric mirrors which are stamped with jap writing (could be like that in aus
spec as well i dont know)
Colour coded door handles.
- I have two metal plates on the firewall denoting its factory options etc,and 1 on the inside of the bonnet as well.
- i dont have a rear wiper or 180km speedo. My speedo is the aus spec 240.

-"jdm has factory recaro front seats same seat as Evo 1 but same fabric as Aus spec gsr."
Silly question, but do the jdm gsr ones actually have 'recaro 'written on them?
Because mine seem to have good bolster support but could well just be aus spec since they have that funky fabric pattern lol

Yes mate they have recaro embroided on the pleats 3/4 of the way up the back of the seat. Exactly same style as Evo 1 seat just not the suade looking fabric

Yes they do

JDM GSR's also have

1) illuminated ring surround on igniton key barrel (like EVO 1-3 had)
2) DOHC Intercooled Turbo decals on front doors (if they havent been removed at some stage of a repaint that is)
3) Auto Up and Down >> drivers window switch (like E1-3)
4) Flat amber side indicators (like E1-3)
5) Diatone written on rear speaker covers (like E1-3)
6) Door weathershields (optional) like E1-3.
7) Optional sunroof (never seen a Aus spec with factory roof).
8) Rear boot garnish fog lamps option Series 2 (like E2 & 3)
9) Series 2 JDM GSR had a EVO 1 rear wing as standard
10) Automatic transmission optional (never seen a auto version Aus spec)
11) Optional heated seats for the european/jap market (even shown on interior fuse box cover of Aus spec GSR)

Also I believe they dont have split folding rear seats just like a E1-3 doesn't .

look at the passenger side strut tower if it has a vin stamped there it's an aus delivered car. you can also tell from the compliance plate on the firewall if your simply trying to identify an imported gsr vs aus delivered that'd be quickest way

Series 2 Jap spec GSR has this style recaro also but with a different pattern material insert ....like comparing series 1 and 2 Aus GSR seats inserts.

When u say series 2 do you mean ce series gsr which is the same shape as evo4? And yeah the inserts are blue and gray if so

Also wrong, mine didn't

No he means the facelift GSRs got late 1994. Slightly different trim the the interior, different grille between the headlights and Evo I wings.
