Are these the seats that you have?
Also, what options are listed. Electric mirrors would have been an option for aus spec.

All GSR's (JDM and AUS) had electric mirrors standard from MMC... only difference was the JDM had the fold in option.

JDM GSR's also have

6) Rear boot garnish fog lamps (like E2 & 3)

Also wrong, mine didn't

Not wrong... Maybe yours didnt have them because it was a series 1, just like Evo 1's never had them.
This was displayed on a series 2 jdm gsr brochure.

When u say series 2 do you mean ce series gsr which is the same shape as evo4? And yeah the inserts are blue and gray if so

No he means the facelift GSRs got late 1994. Slightly different trim the the interior, different grille between the headlights and Evo I wings.

Correct... series 2 in the CC shape.

So back to the op
mopar car is a aspec.

Just need a pic of the front end, interior and rear wing. To determine if its series 1 or 2 .

Maybe power fold mirrors was just a option?

look at the passenger side strut tower if it has a vin stamped there it's an aus delivered car. you can also tell from the compliance plate on the firewall if your simply trying to identify an imported gsr vs aus delivered that'd be quickest way

As said above .. by the VIN status...is the best way to determine if its a local or JDM GSR...

Parts can always be removed or fitted to a vehicle in its life. Sometimes you cant rely on this method of judgement.

But then again this is not a fail safe, as we all know there are dodgey VIN swaps/rebirths floating around out there still.

Also a AUS Delivered GSR never had the X brace behind the rear seat like JDM GSR & EVO models. Due to having the split fold down seats.

Must of been an option!
Mines a 93 so i assume its a series 1 aus spec.
Biggest give away is the speedo i rekon.
ANd what should a jap spec display on the vin thats different compared to an aus?

Do other people have a plate on the inside of the bonnet as well?

Im rustling jimmies here lol

yes correct, being the year of 93... it is a series 1.

CC GSR's (AUS & JDM)
series 1... were built between Sept 92 to mid late 94...
series 2... between late 94 to late 95 I believe.
although some bulit at the end of 95, were registered as 96... because all vehicles from japan were complianced a coupled months later in Australia from the date of build.

Difference between VIN plates and details of both>>>>

AUS spec have 2 plates on the firewall

1) a build plate from japan, the last of the chassis code numbers on this... to match the numbers stamped on the firewall.
2) a compliance plate , the full vin on this is to match the one stamped on the passenger side strut tower.

the 3rd like you said on the inside of the bonnet is a option plate...

JDM spec have the following on the firewall

1st >>> build/chassis code plate to match the firewall numbers.
2nd >>> a yellow plate issued by the transport of QLD if the vehicle is a Personal Import.

All the rest, that were registered through a loophole ... had been given a new identity VIN ... on most of them, they had a 6SREBU or 6TREPV tag plate riveted to the firewall with the matching numbers stamped on the drivers side strut tower instead.

As far as I know, this so call compliancing/rebirth of these cars... was originally done only in the state of Victoria.

Many early model EVOS that weren't personal imports ...were sold registered this way also, through local importers.
