Cheers. I dont mind that at all actually. Simple, does the job and it looks good which is a plus if you have a tidy engine bay.
Who is selling them for $99? -_- You could make one up for a fraction of that price as it's a simple enough design.

On sale for $68...

Ryan will just be onselling them for a bullshit profit... scope US ebay and you'll probably find one for half the price (but the yanks will try and slug you 3 times that for postage)...

on the topic, i had the problem of dipsticks shooting out and causing engine fires, installed a catch can, happened again, ordered a new dipstick of Trav and when for a high revving spirited run on the xmas cruise this weekend and no problems.

better watch all the insulation on your wiring then.....it might melt to. nip out now and asbestos wrap it all:rolleyes:

:lol: what a fucking laugh this is:thumbsup:....is the wiring anywhere near the source of heat?? Unlike your cheap shit, plastic ties for freezer bags....or better still oven ties!!!

Cheap, nasty, bodgy and prone to fail eventually...Thats all i have to say on this....

gee I am so happy your not going to say any more....because not much of what you have said on this matter has been worth shit.

oh and by the way check the wiring in the picture i attached I would say it even closer than the dipstick. since its the bloody o2 sensor and is subject to immense heat. look carefully does it appear melted??

perhaps you could better contribute by thinking of ways other people could save a buck instead of hanging shit on other peoples ideas

This is what I did to mine:

Used a hose clamp to hold onto the dipstick tube and a relatively tense spring to hold the dipstick down.
Takes about 5 seconds to remove the spring from the dipstick or the hose clamp, and works a treat.

Looks like it works alex. That's the spirit of T4G. Someone needs to laseretch "HKS" on the JustJDM option and market them for $550ea. to the evooz guys. You'll sell some I'm sure.

Also Alex, go hit your engine bay with a can of degreaser jesus. :p

No need for those springs.
Just get rid of the blow by OR increase your breather size so it doesn't have to push your dipstick to breath

Because if you stop it from breathing out of the dipstick, it's gonna want to breath elsewhere ie front main seal or rear seal etc

Thats a fair enough point....still it must be determined if blow by is even happening to warrant concern.
