Does a Walbro 255 feul pump require a FPR.

Ive just put a 255L/hour Walbro in my tank, haven't driven the car yet.

WILL THE STK FP REG HANDLE THIS PUMP :?: , or is it going to run rich.


If I do need a FPR, Which one (Brand/part No) :?:

I put in a 255 and 750cc injectors with stock FPR and just had the Wolf tuned, had a perfect fuel curve.

Yep it is running a little rich. At worst by 1 point. Drives OK.

1 point? of what? how are you measuring your AFR's at idle?

Buy 1 point i mean its running (11 -1) Air Fuel Ratio under acceleraion, running richer up top then at idle/cruise., wouldn't around (12 - 1) or (12.5 - 1) be a better ratio :?:

Running stk 450's, 14 psi, big 16g....

I didn't measure it my self, got a logger on the way from da States. The guy who measured this no's his shit. (Very Good Mechanic) He said it was no big deal plenty of factory cars run that rich, but there could be around a 10 hp loss due to it. 10 hp in an AWD, may feel it on a cold night.

I can pick up a cheap APEXI AFC to fine tune a little bit of fuel out, rather then a REG :?: any suggestions.

I have had a walbro in my car for nearly two years, just with the std fpr, have had no problems with the tune, but my chip was written with it in mind. My afr's are low 12's at full load.

If you are running richer, check for leaks, before assuming its the fpr causing it.

I did check for leaks recently when I installed the bigger intercooler, found 1 bolt on the BOV flange was lose and BOV was sus, so i put in a peice of coke can cut to fit that blocked the BOV off at the flange(tempory). Held boost a lot better, more consistant , no drop.

Cheers for the advise Rob 323, I'll put the compessor on it again to double check.
