You should be running about 40psi base pressure at idle without vac.

Depends what injectors you're running. Base on the VR4 450's is ~38, evo 560's is ~43.

It appears that the hesitation at around 5000rpm has been resolved, The Malpassi we fitted up was a little high on fuel pressure. Pulled a little bit of pressure (Back down to 50psi from 55 base reading) and car now revs and drives normally

Check which malpassi reg you have, they had ones that rose at 1.7: rate, ( i think also sell 1:1). So if its 1.7 rise for ever psi of boost it'll throw everything out. It catches a lot of people out hence people thinking they are shit.

And damo is right on your fuel pressures. Unless its tuned specifically for 50psi base pressure why are you running that high. Wits worth double checking what the chip was written to run on you 550's (rx7 injectors?)
For example going from even 43 to 50 psi makes injectors act 8% larger. So check if you should be running possibly 37 (stock vr4) base pressure.
