Okay I went to go and see it, left my digi cam at home. (doh)
Its definately been tinkered with, its got rangi (budget) intercooler wrap, boost tap, budget VDO boost gauge, cut down truck cooler, EVO zort manny, exhaust with crappy muffler, shitty tints, NARDI s/wheel.
The interior looks like its been sitting with the windows down for the last 18 months. definately needs attention there. its done 226,000kms. The drivers side dogled needs a paint, there's a crack in the rockercover which has been dogily fixed, a make shift catch can, boost tap, turbo XS b.o.v.
The car itself it quite straight besides the damage at the front, its kind of hit and miss though, the guy wouldnt let me take the front bumper off to inspect the damage even further- he also wouldnt let me take it for a drive. He slowly let slip that he knew what he was on about when it came to cars, which made me think the damage is worse than what it actually looks, underneath the bumper. The hit to the radiator support panel didnt really match the damage to the f/bumper, almost like he's taken the bumper off, and put it back on himself. The guards look ok, but its hard to tell without pulling it to bits.
If I was to buy the car (which I probably wont) i'd definately give the engine the once over- compression/leak down test, and pull the front off to check the damage out for sure.
apart from that, with some TLC, time and money, you could pick yourself up a working VR4 and get it registered for under $5k.
