I called the guy. It's not a yellow plate, it's a REPV. The VIN was actually in this thread back in 2010 when it was first for sale on ebay. I was keen to buy it but our transport dept here in Adelaide doesn't seem to keen. :angry:

if that is the case just casually ask them to take a look at VSR 304 for a reconstructed vehicle. should do the trick for you

Condition Codes apply to vehicles that do not comply with the VSRs. Their use is restricted in order to comply with requirements for issue of a concession licence. Where a vehicle has been examined and does not comply with the VSRs, the appropriate conditions will be endorsed on the licence for the vehicle.




condition code 304 pertains to a re-constructed vehicle{ reshell} condition code 303 is restamp of original vin. so basically you would take a gsr that is a repairable write off.....help if its the same colour and year!!....put the gsr engine into the evo......go to pits and have inspection .....car is passed as the same car that is written off and the original vim from wreck is atmped into the new shell yes it is legal here in WA.....take car back to pits with evo engine and get change of engine number passed under the engine family and vehicle options from overseas. registered EVO...legally

lots of work and likely some arguments along the way..

but if the car already has a vin assigned just do a vin search here

I had asked if it where a yellow plate for NSW rego reasons and was replied with that it had been rego'd in NSW previously with no mention of the yellow plate. I am glad that there are people on here know what they are talking about, this is a good information for me.

I sent them a PM asking if they have any dyno print out or proof that it made that much, also told them the 4G93T engine is out of a GSR not an EVO

This is what they wrote back

I don't have to explain myself to anybody and i definately won't be made a fool of by some stranger trying to tell me my car can't make the power i'm stating in a public advertisement.

^ Unless he has edited it since your Pm it says on the first line after " under the bonnet" ..that it has a 2 litre engine in it??? Either way with a TdO4 he's dreaming....
 
The car was on carsales less than a year ago and the add said this

Well the plot thickens!! I sent a PM and got a reply with a little more info.. ..

Q.... Hi...just enquiring about your lancer that you are selling? Im curious about the power you say it is making? With a td04 turbo and only exhaust and computer that would be extremely hard to believe..im not having a go at you.. but can you provide a dyno sheet or some sort of proof that the car has this sort of power as it may help the sale/ help my decision on whether to buy or not? Im very interested but would like to see some sort of evidence that the car is making this claimed power as Im a little sceptical due to owning a similar car myself with more mods which doesnt make that sort of power...

A....I don't have a dyno sheet, you're more than welcome to come see the car perform yourself. Also, I have just upgraded the turbo to a tD05. I haven't had it tuned since i've owned it as I had a dyno sheet from the old owner but i misplaced it between moving house and that was 235, since then i had the turbo rebuilt, different manifold and just lots of little things that i have changed. The td05 will hopefully be fitted this weekend and then I can get it tuned to see the exact power it is making. As stated in the add 'Somewhere around 240kw' It isn't exact so no, it may not '240' but like i said, your more than welcome to come see it in person.
