for those to lasy too look, its a rebuilt engine with the following mods:

"roughly 25,000km since build
Forged arias 2618 Pistons,
Scat Connecting rod's
Scat Balanced crank
Balanced Flywheel
Hks headgasket
Hks Valvesprings
Arp 190,000psi Stud Kit
New Bearings in motor
Timing Belts upgraded
Hks 272 Degree camshafts
Hks Camgears
Intake manifold was extrude honed
560cc injectors
coil on plug setup (chrysler 300c)

built to run 25psi+
engine was running a standard TD05H turbo
dynod 208kw @ 10 psi never boosted over 16psi
an awsome upgrade for you VR4, EVO or get creative with a RWD setup.

SHOULD be able to find receipts for work done.. have moved house since then. "

there should be a link on the page for his contact details...

Doubt it will do much on its own, as he states this in the description......

"Can be used on the STREET with a variable restricter in the tail pipe."

So in theory would still be illegal? Similar to a Varex.

Looks like it might be the vr4 motor from 'JETGSR' - cordia... if so, it was last heard of as in not too good condition, so would be getting a compression test done before buying that, if anybody on here is looking into buying it.

I reckon it's work a bit - but only because it IS restrictive. Fluid dynamics... massive turbulence by having that blunt divider in the middle of it. I highly doubt it would flow well. and as far as working as a muffler; not so great either. sound waves from the 2 perf pipes in the centre won't do much to muffle the sound... a more effective design would be to have the inlet expand to a larger diameter perf tube inside the muffler; would slow the velocity down a bit, damping the noise, but at least it wouldn't be turbulant. could go into more detail, but that's reason enough...

and lol @ 4 tubes supposedly being able to outflow a straight pipe of the same diameter... the change in diameter causes a restriction.... the greater wall surface area is a restriction due to surface friction... etc.
no freaking way.

I run one of these on my car with nothing else, no cat, resonator etc and its not too bad.

the restrictor he is talking about that goes in the pipe is a bolt in one, not varex style.

The body of the muffler is 4" with the inlet being 3". so it flares out into the 4" quad core, so it out flows a 3" straight pipe not a 4" one.

But would you recommend it? im running a Varex atm and thinking about getting something else to bolt on if i ever get done for the varex

Its hard for me to compare it but just think of it as a normal muffler, its not a magic super quiet one,
but they do flow well for the sound reduction they offer.

I'd say a properly tapered 3" inlet to a 4" diameter single core muffler would out-flow it pretty well though. It'd be mostly the restriction damping the noise, not the packing material or the acoustics of it. Between the pipes is not much packing, so not much damping, so essentially you might have the equivalent damping of say a square 4" pipe. Slightly more surface area than a 4" cylinder, so will dampen the noise a bit more, but the disruption of flow would come at a performance cost.

Its hard to find a good quiet 3" muffler :(

I was also looking at the OBX 3" twin looped mufflers

Anyone else know of a good quiet muffler that isnt really restrictive

I have a Redback 3" in and out- on one of my cars and its pretty quiet(quiter than dougmos in the vid he posted above) and hasnt restricted power at all.

looks same as this one, same design(chicane) minus the shitty welding

The same seller was selling an "4g63 turbo Evo motor" a few weeks back that turned out to be an RVR motor when I msgd him about it. Im thinking that this was the same "evo 3" motor again advertised as a non turbo RVR motor?
