To keep all the interested punters in the loop with Mico's VR4 and its idle issues...The fix was a little tricky.... It has the earlier style throttle body/idle air motor/cold start idle up waxstat valve. Well the cold idle up valve is a little sticky and consequently bleeds too much air past the butterfly , even when the engine temp is up. Its typical of a lot of older waxstat valves... they just dont close properly. Someone has tried to compensate by fully closing the air bypass screw and winding the throttle butterfly shut. So the TPS voltage was too low etc.... After a bit of tinkering with the waxstat and resetting the throttle butterfly, tps and BISS it doesnt stall on decel !
