Ecu conpatibility help...

I have a 1G eclipse Gs with a 4G63 DOHC 6bolt NA engine with a bad ecu. I found an ecu that i will buy tomorrow which has a code MD128617.. Will this ecu work on my car?

Based on what i read from another forum Its for a Galant JDM E-E33A SRGM 2 NA. But im not sure with that info. Can anyone help me please..

does the bad ecu have a code on it similar to the MD128617? if so what is the code?

my bad ecu has a different code.. tried to look it up on the net... i get no ifo about my eprom ecu... its md166257

we dont get the eclipse in australia as far as i know so we dont really know much about them,
