ECU query

Hey my mate and i were having a chat he drives a lancer with a 4G93 (non turbo) He asked me what would happen if he put the 4G93t ECU on the NA engine. I have no idea

i presume you are talking about a 4g93 sohc ecu that uses a distributor not a crank angle sensor on the end of the intake camshaft

i donno i didnt look to be honest. The engine is a 4G93P out of an M21 like mine. I said it was a bad idea and to wait until he gets the new engine but he wanted to ask if it was possible. So i take it not?

honestly find the wiring diagrams for the 2 cars and check everything matches up but but it might not also check the airflow meter and injector sizes could be different

It will run like a dog, the 4G93T ecu will make it run lean coz its tuned for 390cc inj, the 4G93P has 270cc from memory

yer i knew they would be a difference in injector sizes
and i think your right at the injector being 270cc
