Hey There, i've decided im sick of pressign the scramble button over 4500rpm to hit 22psi, so i bought an ecu :)

I got a Greddy Emanage Ultimate with harnesses..question is,
Does anyone know much about them? anyone u know that has one on a 4g63? my tuner told me to get rid of it and buy a power fc but my budget just doesnt stretch that far :(
HELP!
:)

Sell it an buy a 2g ecm link or ecm link lite and you'll have money left to get a wideband kit and have some fun.
pretty sure there's ppl using the 2g link in rvr's

hmm, only problem there is pretty sure noone here in tas would even know what a ecm link is. Also, i was looking at removing a/f meter (the emanage has a 3 bar map sensor).

hmm :(

You are in for a world of hurt with the emanage if you use it to convert AFM to MAP.

I vote ecmlink or a chip,

Regarding tuning, it all the same, fuel maps and timing etc, just the tool is different.

explain why not to change over to map sensor?

I never said don't change to map, just don't do it with a emanage.

Read up on interceptors and some of the issues they can cause.

You could sell the emanage and get a chip from VR401 that would run your car 10 times better than the emanage would.

Is it an emanage ultimate?

With a chip or ecmlink there is no requirement for wire changes.

Also look into the benefits of staying with a AFM based, our AFMs do no pose a significant restriction, but will run out of resolution which can still be worked around.

do the ecmlink......easy to retune and comes with a tune installed already.

has a logging function, and launch control built in.

one of the RVR guys over here has done his and is happy

As BMGTZ said I have done mine for my RVR and have been very happy with it. The ECMlink can also now be set up with MAP sensor using the SD bundle package that they offer. Best bet is to talk to Tom of ECM Tuning - you will not be sorry with what it can do with just a stock ECU.

There's an FTO owner in Tas getting some tunning done currently on a frankenstein motor and he's been through all the do's and don't.
He found a good tuning place recently who I believe does e-manage, however, I'm with the above, and would say junk it.
Personally would stay factory, or to a lesser extent, go EMS.

GT Garage located in Derwent Park is the company the FTO guy is going through.
Perhaps give them a call and see what they can do for you.
Tell them Val with the FTO recomended them, you might get something out of it... who knows.

GT Garage is who i usually go through, but one of the guys threre was the one to say dont use it..meh im gonna use it just to show ppl they are just as good as power fc. The guy i found to tune said he uses them in 350-400kw 2jzs
