egr/antilag

Looking at the intake manifold im going to use, it has the egr on it. I will be using a evo9 ecu to run this engine. I want to use antilag to help spool a gt35r on a auto while brake boosting for launch without nos.
Does antilag utilise the egr setup?

from what i read there are 2 types of antilag, one that uses the egr and one that doesnt, but from what i read the evo 9 ecu might not use egr (i think that was a usdm evo 9 ecu) aus or jap one could be different

I actually thought the egr was the same thing just running reverse,
opens under vacuum pulling exhaust back through... never looked into it really
gunna have to now ya got me curious

And if they are separate systems, how come you might need it,
isnt all ya need a pipe from the int. mani to the exh. mani and a valve in between, solenoid to open it an the ecu mapped to open it and shoot some fuel in, oh an retard the timing??

jack I think what you are looking for can be done with tuning....just the same as the ecmlink does for launch control pops and farts.

If however you are looking for the over run antilag for pops and bangs precorner, you will need to have the exhaust manifold drilled as the need for "plain air" is what creates the ability to burn fuel in the exhaust manifold.

I will have to compression test it, but I think its just breathing heavy. It was pumping smoke out the other week when I drove it last. Its spat the dipstick out other week also.
