My drivers side door window doesnt go up, it just goes down, and stays down.. and when i want it up i have to pull the door out and push it up manually - and then wedge it with paper..

The motor i assume still works as i can here it trying to run - but apparently its the bracket or something like that - does anyone know how to fix this, or where to get one from??

Whats the rough cost we're looking at??

Thanks Peter

oh, i think i need a bracket - thats what i was told.. unless i need a motor??

how do i tell, is there anywhere near thomastown that i can take it to go have a look at..?

I had the same problem...........3 times

It is the internals stripped out.

Ring Chris(Meek) he will hook you up with an aftermarket one for around $290+GST+ freight.

Otherwise its $400+ from mitsu

Oh yeah DONT use your window in the mean time

never broken the motor, but i know the window regulators do fail. But you wouldnt be able to really wind it up or down. The cable breaks & gets tangled.

fark.. its a $300 problem..?!?!

damn

Well for me it was a 2nd hand x2 by $175 a time. Then i bought a new revised regulator for $159.50 which at the time i thought came with the motor and gear internals(which i kept breaking in the 2nd hand ones).

Then i had to buy that aftermarket motor from meek for $290+gst/freight.

so:

$175+$175+$290+$159.50=a $799.50 problem.

Tip for all.....Get the new stuff the first time!

"Do it once, do it well!"

I have the hole front motor bracket and etc etc
Take it to a mechnic see what you need and let me now

when my window regulator stuffed up, the first signs was that when the window wound up, at the very end it use to slam/thump.

then one day (drove out of h.jacks) the window just feel and wouldnt wind back up, so when i got home i pulled the window up and sticky tape became my friend.

a window regulator is just a steel frame where the glass is connected to and will slide up/down. The motor is also connected to it, along with the cables required.
