Help Support 4GTuner:

Just thinking, but the rotary valves wouldnt get that hot though vs the traditional poppit style would it? If ya did couldnt ya drop cylinder comp. a little, or run e85 or even both? then wouldnt that alleviate it?
just looking back at when they pulled lead out of the fuel, the valves would get so hot they'd pre ignite fuel an destroy them selves?

either way mdk87, jack an george, yous have got me thinking back outside the box again,

It's an interesting topic hey?

Dropping static compression or using alternative fuels is just a way of masking a design flaw and going backwards really if the old poppet valves could handle it.
I think he's talking about the heat that would result from such thorough contact with the exhaust gasses and also the possibility of damage to the leading edges of the ports.

As for running the tank flat, I'm guessing they would disable the "free-air" and re-engage the compressor before it dropped below operational pressure.
Idk, but it all sounds good on paper. Haha

EDIT: Or did you mean a leak in the tank/lines? I guess that'd kinda leave you stranded. Haha

Sounds like its stepping into metallurgy sort of ground to get the components capable of handling the heat, ceramic coatings even?
but yea man, seeing the rpm the engines can get is mind boggling,

and even by doing the comp. drop or ethanol, you'd think that it'd still be alot more efficient than the poppit style, lead days it was around 30 somthing % then with the lead removal it dropped below 30%

Koenigsigg or how ever ya spell it... wow.. as ya said on paper is one thing but man if they can sort it out, itd be next level development!
