can anybody tell me what year car it came out of?

Ive tried and not getting much love from CAPS fairly certain we require a chassis number to check teh specs.

Findout where you purchased the engine from and take it from there id guess ? Engine package / front cut ?

bought privately so have no idea!

Whats writen on the inlet manifold and what turbo injectors etc et?

pic of the top of the engine would be good(inlet aswell)

for a vr4 motor:
does it have blue top injectors or yellow tops? (450cc vs 510cc)
does it have cyclone or eci multi / single or twin runners? (jspec vs rs or aspec)

does it have a 16g or 14b? (rs/monte or normal)

they are the easy ways to tell.

cyclone intake
TD04 turbo

it was from an auto Jspec though, so this would explain the turbo.

450cc = normal jspec
tdo4 = auto
cyclone = normal jspec

auto's are a good thing though, u know that the car hasn't been thrashed (usually)

haha my motor was from a vr4 auto, it had 4 cracked pistons headgasket leak, ecu was runnng only 2 cylinders, and the flapper on the TD04 had walked off :cry:
