Engine wash, hot, cold or warm temp?

Hi all i have a couple of minor leaks and wish to get rid of them, i googled quickly to see wether there was any info on doing a engine wash but got some mixed results, im sure its supposed to be done warm right?

Done it, after further research i found its better done whilst cold, i covered the battery and afm with a plastic bag and the rest of the electrical just put some foil to act as a umbrella instead of hitting the electricals directly, these vr4's are sensitive things so better to safe.

Make sure you leave the engine running

take a can of crc, ya dont wanna get down there an wash it only to find its got water in the the plugs an it doesnt start or misses,

yeah what dre said leave the motor running when you hose it off and if you hit a spot and you hear it start dying STOP. lol

I didnt leave the engine running whilst hosing it down, it was abit hot so i just left the bonnet open and left it in the sun.

its all good, as long as it started again after you were done...
