Call VIC ROADS and they will give you contacts.

You'll have to get it tested for emissions also.
This is about 5k to test.

you sure baz?

i think he will just need to do an epa test, which is $70...

All the emissions paperwork for a vehicle is about $5k. If the engine was released in Australia it'll already have been done by the car company.

AKA, if he's going 6g72tt he'll have to get it done for $5k because twin turbo's didn't come out in Australia as a domestic engine.

yer maybe for the turbo.... and the wide body.... nothing over kill.... minus the body lol.. just want to freely drive it without lookin over my shoulder all the time....

hurm... it will cost me the same just for the half cut... dammit Troy is was meant to be a secret! lol....

Umm the 3000GT ('96?) was sold new in Australia with a 6G72tt

vicROADS RECALL-ENGINEER CERT.

hey JayROME
My car was RE-CALL by VicROADS. One of the requirement was an engineer cert. I used this guy VicROAD recommended. Only cost $440 for him to come out. He listed what needed to be done, and came back the next week to check, and my engineer cert. done. Only check for ADR STUFF.
Name's john and lives in St albans. Number is 0404717171
should call him during working hours.

If it was sold here in OZ then all you'll have to do is maintain the standard anti-pollution gear, ECU, setup etc and quite possibly provide that proof of that motor and setup being sold here locally and you should be fine.
My engineer's certificate for my 4G63 conversion was a piece of cake because the Galant VR4 was sold locally. The engineer checked that the turbo was the stock unit and that I was running all the factory boost solenoids, anti-pollution gear, ECU etc then he signed it off.

you wont need an engineers certificate for the widebody jay.

the twin turbo 6..im not sure about lol!

caugh* TT AWD caugh*

most likely...

no one wants to send me just the floor pan of the ZR4 from NZ.......... which sucks...

yeh same here shayne, but i went even 1 step easier! I registered the engine through Vic roads with no problems because, like you said, the 'vr4' engine was sold locally. And to make things even better for me, my lancer is a dec 1992 model which means the 'vr4' engine is the same year as my car!

Jay, you are a crazy man! but i like it!
