Hi guys,
I am trying to work out which way to go drive train wise with one of my cars. I have a galant vr4 gearbox in it at present, very good cond was quiet low km when installed. i do likethe ratios of this but like the thought more of a evo box being slightly strong due to ratios.
So after EOI on either box
VR4 box i would be after $850 in very good cond
and the EVO 1 box has been pulled down and check and very good inside would be after $1000 for this one.
let me know if anyone is keen or wants more details.
both are located in SA but willing to help with shiping.
cheers simon

yeah? where do i find them cheaper? we sell them at work for 950 without transfer case or 110 with? and this one is very good cond i thought it was fair price? open to offers.
with the amount of rally guys still breaking these things they arent easy to get. i know a mitsi specialist up the road has trouble find parts and boxes when needed.

They usually go for around $500 on the forums, there was one for sale the other day. Supply and demand, if you have something that someone wants you can charge what you want for it.

Work prices arent the same as internet prices - maybe see if you can sell it on consignment at your work?

Not trying to be offensive in any way, but I work in second hand and believe me you can ask a lot more if you have employees etc to pay.

1990vr4, the box is a w5m33 box, i can get the rest of the code sometime if your interested.

the difference is having stock that someone needs at the time or getting rid of something you dont need and someone having the time to shop around and find the cheapest price. and i am not asking same price as my work for that reason. and also a known very good condition should stand for something in a 20 yo car.
