Hey guys,

I have looked into organising one of these days following my outing last Thursday.

Basically, it would be an advanced driver training day, and we would have the track for the day (8am - 4/5pm). The group of 30 or 40 attendees (depending on interest) would be split into 2 smaller groups (novice & intermediate/advanced - based on track experience). The two groups then share track time throughout the day on a 20-30 minute rotation, overseen by an events co-ordinator/track marshall.

The price includes 4 instructors and two events co-ordinators (who can also instruct) for the day (Ex V8 Supercar, Ex Porsche Carrera Cup drivers), to help you improve your technique and track driving ability. No CAMS or ASAA license is required to be able to participate.

Breakfast and lunch is not provided, and will have to be brought along with you, although there will be a break for lunch in the middle of the day, when you could leave to get lunch and return for more track time in the afternoon.

Date at this stage is not confirmed, although Im betting a weekday is far more attainable (in terms of getting the track). It is most likely to be on a Thursday in any case.

Cost per driver (30 drivers total) $ 350 ea
Cost per driver (40 drivers total) $ 265 ea

non-driving spectators $30 ea (TBC)

It would be good if we could get 40 people ourselves, although I may extend the invite to the OZVR4 crew to help us along. I would extend the invite to Evo-Oz BUT I cant ...

Post up if youre keen, and only if youre willing to commit! I dont want people saying "yes im coming" and then never pay up when i put the full details up.

cheers

Dan

I would be keen if I have my car going by the time you get it organised, I have a few mates that would probly have a dip as well (non mitsubishi)

go to a track that my lack of top speed qont be an issue and id be there

i calculate my top speed to be 210 absolute max at full revs in 5th

+1 I'll come. Give us at least 4 weeks notice of dates. But I'll be in a '08 WRX. You can all laugh at it and have something to give me shit over.

Also, I'll drag gooch along so +1 from him too.

Do we need cams/aasa license?

Lets say ..... November, or possibly even later.

that way it gives everyone heaps of time to get organised?

youll just have to change to GSR gearing Georgey :p

"non-driving spectators $30 ea"

Is this passenger rides or any spectator?
Charging spectators to watch people get taught to drive seems rough.

last thursday it was 50 bucks to spectate

And no passenger rides, unless an instructor is driving your car, and has a front seat passenger other than the cars owner IIRC.

yes. although, now that youve mentioned, that would of included lunch and beverages throughout the day also.

I will check that spectator fee with the events co-ordinators, and get back to you.

Would you and your brother be keen on doing the photography/video side of things?

If it's November or later I'll be in:thumbsup: Got to get a few things sorted on the car before it's ready for a track day. And I reakon I could muster up two other friends (non Mitsubishi) to make up the numbers if need be.

sweet, for those of you who have friends that are keen to enter with non mitsu cars, that is fine, although preference will be given to T4G and OZVR4 cars initially.

If you have mitsu dirving friends who want to attend, just mention their names, or your name +1 or +2 etc etc.

A top speed of 210km/hr is "an issue" George!? :w00t:

that being optomistic, i dont want to be holding the car on the limiter in 5th at all.

pi,sandown and calder have too long straights for me i reckon.

hopefully not but i think it may be an issue.

what are you getting up to at sandown on the straights?
