just would like to konw has anyone pass a EPA test with any mods to there car, e.g turbo

coz i got EPAd again but this time it emmisons, im going to put the standed cooler, exhaust, air box and boost controller back on but i have a TDO5 14b on my car does that matter, my car is a 94 GSR

i cant afford to be of the road

thanx heaps

Turbo will only really affect your emissions under load, I dunno what the EPA test involves but unless they're running you on a dyno it shouldn't matter. So long as you have the stock computer, injectors etc and your sensors all work properly, you should be fine.

Make absolutely certain your o2 sensor is working and your cat isn't fucked/blocked. May pay to get a new cat put on before you go there.

Those are the two biggest things they'll hit you for.

Also, make sure ALL your pollution gear is on the car. No EGR blockoffs etc.

Don;t worry bout it that much dude

i went through and passed with flying colours with my 94 GSR

It had an EVO 6 cooler on it
Walbro fuel pump with no regulator - running rich as hell
Plumback BOV
Plumback Catch Can
and Exposed POD filter
pea shooter temporary exhaust

i somehow managed to convince them that the cooler was stock  , and that made my POD filter the 1 allowed intake modification (what a stupid rule  )

im in sydney, i passed as follows (though i was sent there due to pod filter and DB exceeding 90db from memory)

-put on stock filter box with k&n panel and left it permanently till today

-was also told i needed a rear cat, but just put in a resonator type thing which looked like a cat, and bolted on a dodgy stock looking rear muffler.

- passed the EPA test, and i just put my cannon back on after that and left the resonator thing on there. since then ive been defected for other things, but the cops looked under my car to ensure i had a rear cat, and they left it alone
