EVO 1,2,3 rear diff's?

Yep, too true mate and a valid point. EVO GSR's are definitely worth more to Aussie importers than RS specs because of all the extras they can sell for more $$.

On another note adding to the info already in this thread, Liberoz may have been thinking about the CD5A 92-95 LANCER GSR instead of the EVO. It is apparent that the CD5A 92-95 "LANCER GSR RS 1.8 AWD" was optioned from factory with a viscous and a mechanical 3.545 rear LSD. One of my friends in NZ just checked an import Lancer GSR which has one of the rare factory optioned NRWE front viscous LSD gearboxes in it and upon inspection of the rear diff he confirmed that it has a 3.545 mechancial rear LSD centre. He also did some more searching and apparently the part number for the LSD plates was actually used in some CD5As and CC4A Mirages, so it can be established that the CD5A LANCER GSR RS's did have both a viscous and mechancial rear LSD as an option from factory and are very rare. NOTE: not to be confused that it was an option on EVO 1-3's as discussed earlier in this thread.

Guess what I'm gonna buy from NZ right now? lol

my libero was optioned with the mechanical rear diff just luck is what i put it down to. After am overhaul of diff center and setting preloads its grab's extremly well on the track.

Thats a good score in the Libero Jon! :) Im in the middle of bringing over a CD5A Lancer GSR RS 3.545 mech rear LSD at the moment. Should have it here sometime next week hopefully :) (beofre NZ Post bumps up their freight charges in July!!)

How much are you getting stung for freight on that ?

You asked! :w00t:

Its getting sent over for $151NZ = $120AU postage which is awesome :) NZ Post will post things up to 25kg and a complete rear mech diff housing with internals and cups weighs 24kg with oil. So drop the oil, wrap the whole housing in bubblewrap and you're under 25kg and looking at the $120AU mark for freight. Currently $1.00AU = $1.25 NZ!! But the price of NZ Post is expected to rise 10% in July.

Items just under 20kg fall under NZ International Postal Services rate and flown out quickly in about 3-10 working days and costs around $80NZ. But as a diff is over 20kg the Postal rate doesnt apply and you fall into the NZ International Courier Services rate which is 2-6 working days and costs $151NZ.

Dont even bother trying Fedex or DHL or other providers because they will charge over $350NZ minimum for shipping a rear diff here

Food for thought and how Australia Post rapes people on international freight if you wanted to send something overseas: If you had something in Australia weighing 20kg that you wanted to freight to NZ it'll cost $168AU ($210NZ) through Australia Post to send! BUT, the same 20kg product being sent from NZ to Australia would only cost $80NZ ($63AU).

I need an evo3 rear diff 3.909....from were can i find one?
You've asked this question a few times on this forum already and even have been PM'ing with me about it. I gave you a contact to try that can confirm your question about the Mitsubishi Eclipse also.
You don't need to bring up posts over 6.5 years old asking for a rear diff when you already have made posts and received information in relation to this matter
