hey there,
Anyone know where i can procure an oil pump? my housing is cracked and unusable and my replacement oil pump seems to be a vr4 one AND Meek who takes my weekly pay atm do not have any in stock.
So does anyone have an oil pump in virtually perfect condition or even just a housing? i need to get this motor back in and running.
Cheers!

About $150AU delivered ;)

I think when you've made 56,000+ sales with 99.9% feedback you cant buy from anybody better on EBay!!!

I had a bit of a look around the sellers site for oil pumps for a number different 4G63's.....

Is there any results/history from people using these generic brand units? I also noticed he sells other oil pumps branded "Topline" that are substantially more than these more generic units (where they are selling the generic brand and Topline brand for the same motor).

Anyone used, or seen in person either of these units or know of success or failures in motors that are given a hard time?

I ask as its one of the items ill be in the market for soon, but not something id look so save say 100 bucks on if theres something more reliable.

Yeah there was a really cheap EBay one we bought from the US for a friends car. When it arrived, fitted it, then it leaked oil. Took me ages to find it and about 3 goes!!!
Not happy... it was coming out of the small bearing pressed into the top of the oil pump. When it was pressed in it made a hairline crack.
We got another one to replace it, but it was a bitch to pull timing belt etc, redo gasket, fit again, then have it leak again, then finally find the problem.
Always use new seals and gaskets all round with these things.

All good, Pat from Meek hooked us up ;)
The meek ones look like generic aftermarket units also. There is no aftermarket brand listed.
Ive had fantastic dealings with meek on a couple of occasions, but i have come to realize that some of their non-genuine parts are just you can get off ebay for half the price. The 3G lifters is another example.

To me it looks like the oil pumps they are selling are the same or similar to the generic ones from the ebay seller, just a cheap non genuine pump. Quite Happy to be proven wrong as ill need on in my new build and im not trying to bash meek.
What do the genuine ones cost, scary price im guessing?

i got my 3g lifters online, but that oil pump ebay link was shown to my engine builder and came to the conclusion that we have warranty with meek, and not some random USA ebay store. Oil Pump was $250 delivered to my workshops door tomorrow morning.

I buy most stuff genuine but it was like 600 for a genuine evo 3 oil pump and considering my motor has insurance if it fails i am not worried.

Meek wont pay for a new engine if it fails, you'd get warranty on the pump, you want to pay for a whole new engine cos you saved on the oil pump and it fails?

Probably worth doing some research online as to what brand aftermarket works if you don't go genuine rather than go a no name unit.

no...meek wont pay for a new engine..but the WORKSHOP that is building my motor has insurance..and if i was to buy said cheap pump from USA when they said not to buy that one then i will go with what they say and if anything stuffs up i can make them replace it. Meek recommend their oil pumps, they are not the same ones that US company are trying to flog off.
