Evo 123 thorttle body sizes ?

does anyone know if the e39a vr4 and evo 123 throttle bodys are the same ?

Both are 60mm however they are not the same shape.

Vr4 has the idle switch at throttle stop, evo 1-3 has it built into tps.
I think there is differences in the vacuum take off points also.
Shaft seals may be different.
Isc/fiav doesnt interchange either, im pretty sure.

As above plus evo throttle body mouth is part of the throttle body and is 2.5in in diameter compared to vr4 that has a separate mouth/elbow that bolts to the throttle body and its diameter is approx 1.75in. Closer match to evo tb is from galant gsr.

There are 2 different VR4 throttle bodies (HG and HH are different set up but work the exact same) which one are you referring to?

HG vr4 throttle body, different tps that has a pigtail instead of the connector on its body, mouth is smaller and on the angle.


the elbow is also a separate item


HH vr4 throttle body is the same shape/design as HG however it takes a TPS same as the one that's found on evo123/cc gsr etc

evo 123 throttle body, mouth is part of the body and points straight.

Is a stock Evo 1/2/3 throttle body a direct swap for a GSR 4G93T?

No. It bolts on but the elbow is different size and shape.

I have a gsr one here. But its not much good to you. The isc is stuffed and the fiav is jammed. I havent bothered to fix the fiav. I could have a look at it on weekend if you havent got any better option.
