So im wanting to get my limiter removed and maximise torque/Kw output, so i was just wondering do i reflash my ECU or do i have to get an aftermarket one? if so has anyone done this and have any knowledge on how/where to obtain one?
cheers in advance for any help.

i believe you have to get the ecu epromed before you can get it reflashed. i have a epromed and reflashed ecu to run my gsr.

You can either modify your stock ecu via chip or ecm link or go after market. It depends on how far in modifications you want. The general idea would be for a mildly modified setup you'd go chip. Want more go ecm. Want even more go after market (depending on brand, some would consider ecm better than after market.

Meek do the Eprom side of things...... I have one in my car.
There were 2 ecus for sale recently, one even had the famous "POWERCHIP"
pretty sure it was 3zercrowd that was selling them....?

Very strongly recommend the ECM Lite over any aftermarket ecu. If its just speed limiter etc , a simple chip rewrite will do. If you want to optimize the engine tune as well, you can not overlook the ECM Lite. I've fitted many to customer cars, and I used to write the EPROMS for early EVO's. Its swings and roundabouts for me, but it is around the same overall cost IMO.... except the ECMlite cuts Dyno time considerably.

yeah i had a squiz looks good should i go lite or v3 full? and is it located in US?

on an evo you can only get the lite version at the moment...see this post

..so when you order one ...tell them you want the full version as upgrade....that will pressure them to do a full version.

i'm gonna get v3lite once i can find an evo 1 2 3 ecu.
will this be 1G or 2G non-EPROM conversion ?
also has anyone ordered the special case ?

Idle air simulation Works around that annoying stall when coming to a stop or pressing the clutch pedal in.
noticed this in the compariosn of v3lite to full version.
is stalling a common problem with ecmlink v3lite
