It is a EVO 1 with an EVO 3 body kit and interior.How can i tell
The chassis number sais CD9A 000****.
Evo 3 says CE9A 010****

Please find out right information about your car before posting up as a genuine evo 3

If you lok at the engine pic on bs you guess/assume its an Evo 1 Motor.

The BOV is clearly from an E1, the 2 onwards one has a ridge down it.

Also the hose that goes from the rocker cover (the middle, left side) joins the iintake down infront of the BOV. On the 2/3 this hose connects further up, near the AFM (next to the other one you can see).

Didn't say anything at teh time because obviously an E1 engine doesn't make the car an E1, but if the chassis number has been confirmed as CD9A then theres no doubt.

Makes my E2 look like even more of a bargain, 5-10K cheaper (depending on spec/spares) and its actually what I say it is. So someone buy it :wink:

yes i did buy this car off darren at afas.
darren assures me that it is a genuine evo 3

every site that this car was addvertised on before i purchased it stated that it is a genuine evo 3.

car is no longer for sale as clearly stated on the boostcruising post.

amazing that you think you know more then high performance imports magazine know. they featured and tested the car yet you look at a web site and know better.

swellso good luck with selling you evo 2 but do you really think that hijacking another thread and bagging what is for sale makes you look like you are good?

the car now has full lo1 complience which is the blue plate fitted to the car in place of the yellow. as far as dept of transport is concerned this car is a genuine evo lancer. but i guess a bunch of keyboard warriors know better then the authorities.
