Evo 3 Thermo Fans

Hey Guys,

Has anyone had an issue with the thermo fans not working unless the Air con is turned on?

This problem has me beat

i HAD that issue in my old car...it was never a problem tho

Both my fans come on with the aircon regardless of what temperature the car's running at

ive never had an issue where just the one wouldn't come on (with aircon turned off)

i know its working with the aircon, but without aircon it needs a trigger to engage the fan, so I'd be looking at:

1) fuses
2) fan relay
3) fan switch
4) damaged wiring or a bad ground

also could a stuffed thermostat cause this problem - this im not 100% sure about?

says that your ECU needed to be reset to get them working again? is it possible its playing up

I thought it was fixed, but this is an itermittent fault, it worked for about 2 days, then stopped. My other thought was to run a HKS fan controller, hopefully this will fix the issue.

my guess is its a conversion? and wasn't correctly sorted when installed?
