evo 3 turbo and manifold BRIS

Im in the middle of doing a rwd conversion and have recently found out the evo 7 shares the same exhaust manifold bolt pattern as the earlier evo's so im not 100% sure it will fit but i want to see if the evo 2/3 turbo and manifold will clear my starter/mount/strut tower, and if it does i will most likely buy it off you. Oviously wanting someone around the brisbane area (im in mitchelton) as i want to try before i buy. If your turbo/manifold doesnt work for me i'll be happy to swing you $20 for your troubles.

Also if if you have a turbo/manifold lying around but you dont want to sell I be very appreciative if i could just borrow it for a test fit if nothing pop's up

I have a spare vr4 manifold you are welcome to try. Basically the same as the E3 manifold.

so does that mean an evo7 manifold aftermarket or genuine will fit an e2/3?

yes but it points the front of the turbo towards the ps pump

and the flange is different of course

Don't the latter evo turbos have the twin entry housing? Wouldn't they be physically larger than an E3 housing?

yes they have the twin scroll entry

My understanding is that you may need to modify the water by pass tube to clear the compressor housing

Sorry, pm replied to. I spent all weekend experimenting with gearboxes and didn't even turn the pc on until now.
