Evo 4 cams in a 1998 GSR 4G93t engine ??

Ok i have a mirage asti 1997, its running a 1998 1.8 Lancer GSR engine, I'm wondering does anyone know would it be possible to fit the standard camshafts from an evo 4 in my engine ? of course im sure there will be machine work needed for them to fit properly, but would anyone have done this before an succeed or tried an failed ?? or have an idea of what work would be involved or basically can straight up say no its not gonna work lol, i can't seem to find any info anywhere on the topic, only info i can find is on the older model gsr engines an evo 1-3, but none for the newer above 1996 gen2 models, so all an any help be greatly appreciated. thanks.

what you need to consider is are they actually ant better than what you have.....then is the machining worth the effort.

the cams in it now are standard 248/248 as apposed to the 256/260 that are the evo cams, so thats a nice difference when the evo cams cost €50, so unless its huge machine work then yes i would consider it worth the effort..

your serious arent you.....perhaps these pictures will help. the cam with the gear attached is a 4g93T....the other is a 4g63T

the head in the picture is a 4g93T and the cam sitting on it is a 4g63T.......good luck with the machining

Keep your standard cams and change your turbo if u want some more top end that way you won't sacrifice as much low end off boost response
