evo 6 suspension?

gday everyone

when i was purchasing my bonnet and brace and stuff i asked the guy wat he ran underneath hes rally prepared vr4. he recons the people before him used evo 6 struts that bolted straight up with nearly no modifications watsoever. has anyone had any experience with this conversion or know of any cars going around. surely if this is all true it would be alot easy to find coilovers (more expencive but?) and other upgrades.

im pretty sure evo 6 struts are the same as evo 8? if so i believe the fronts bolt in but with the rears, the bottom mount needs to be cut off the vr4 strut and welded to the evo. the heights are off a bit too
