Hay all
I have a mate who has just brought a stock Evo 6 just after a few ideas of some good upgrades ie Turbo, injectors, etc
Thanks

Your 'good' upgrades can start by the simple bolt ons.
Exhaust - Dump pipe, Hi-Flow cat, Full exhaust.
IC piping - Even just change the hotside pipe would be good enough.
Then a nice tune on about 22psi should be good
Turbo and Injector upgrades can be changed later on when you want to get a bit more serious...

Yea he is looking at a bit more serious

So what sort of power range is he after? budget? target? daily? weekender? time frame?
Start there, find out some proven mods for that power range including efficiency...
Sorry I can't answer the question upfront without knowing more bout it...

one of the most important things is a good dump/front pipe.
tims comments above are right on the money.

you can very easily make more power than the motor can safely handle so its best to be wise with the mods.

with just a good exhaust, hotside pipe,mr bov,air filter and a good tune 220kw is acheivable no worries,
and that will smoke a majority of cars on the road.

depending on the power goals an evo9 turbo (as a minimum) etc etc....

All good mods mentioned above. You guys forgot one of the most important mods to a cn/cp9a. The intake pipe/filter. You need to relocate the battery to the airbox position and vice versa. This mod increases power by a fair amount (everyone seems to get a guarunteed 10awkw from this), and will carry power with all future mods. Expect power between 200-230awkw with above mentioned mods plus intake pipe. Good easy power.

You can also look into bolt on turbos such as 20G (various brands), FP green/red/black, ATP gold, HKS GTII 7460R, Tomei Arms 7690 (i think that's the number), GT Pumps, etc. You'll need to upgrade injectors for these turbos. Expect to get upwards of 230awkw with these, and some will deliver 300awkw on 98ron.

Oh, and I guaruntee you'll need a new clutch after 200awkw. They die very easily unless upgraded.
