Its time for me to change out the brake pads on my EVO3.
I had some good success in sprints and hillclimbs running EBC green stuff in my Mini Cooper S.

Thoughts of going EBC red or yellow stuff is crossing my mind both are around $160 for fronts $80 for rears, but before i shell out good money i thought id see what you guys are using.
I got a price on Project Mu at high octone and they come back with $315 for fronts.
Car is only used for Sprints and hillclimbs.

Rotors wise i have DBA slotted.

Thanks any input would be greatly appreciated

yellows will be too aggressive for hill climb, you wont have enough heat in them from the start.

reds will be 50/50 - maybe not quie good enough for either in different ways.

I have recently changed to the elig race pads in the front of the silvia and project mu hc+ in the rear.
The eligs held up awesome and phillip island and just worked well enough in the first corner on the hillclimb @ haunted hills yesterday.
pretty good value for money I reckon.

I have been using Pagid rs19's, found them to be brilliant in all aspects bar the noise and the hideous price tag, been hearing great things about the Elig's (from a few people, George included!) they seem to perform well and are great value- almost half the price of the pagids.

yep im running the SB511, suprisingly good. work pretty well from cold and couldnt overwork them at phillip island.

I havent had any noise when cold either

Try Racer Industries for the Project MUs might get a better price as they are the importers
Ive got a set in my car havent done any track work yet but have tested them a bit on the road an they work well from cold an just get better with heat, mine are rated to about 400c from memory.

I actually used to run hc+ on the front of the evo and would cook them up pretty quickly on the track(in competition)
saying that they are pretty sweet on the back.

I just got some ebc redstuff off ebay in britain.......because they wanted 195.00aud over here!!

they ended up costing 149.00 droped in my letter box

same guy does lots of other brands as well

I have run the following pads

QFM A1RM
Pagid Blue
QFM Comp 9

Value for money the A1RM is great. They stopped fantastically and I would get 3-4 meets out of them.

Pagid Blue - Horrendous. I destroyed a set in 20 laps of the sprint circuit at QR.

QFM Comp 9 - Great pad. Ran them at the EVO Nats.

My main issue is my speed. I have 200kw + and I am carrying alot more speed then previously. I have just dropped all my gear off for a brake upgrade.

Value for money brake fluid has to be Penrite Sin.

Well, ive ended up purchasing the QFM A1RM front and rears from GSL in Mt Gravatt ($238 for both front/rears delivered)and have sent them to my brothers to be fitted before next weekends Pittsworth Sprints. So will see how they go and get back to yous.

I had bought a rear pair of red stuff from the UK on the 4th Aug and they still hadnt arrived. So these will be for sale once in my hands for what they owe me which off the top of my head $80 if anyone if after a rear set of pads.

Doesn't give much time to bed them in properly.

I know, but i havent got much of an option with > 2mm on the front pads that are in there. Rocky street sprints took more pad off than i expected.
Will try to get out for a couple of kms or last resort, put in on the dyno.
