for those interested the new walbro 460lph e85 pumps fit nearly perfectly into our cradles with 3 very minor mods.
1: cut off the oring cup that the factory pump seals in.
2: if your pump didn't come with the rubber insulating base remove the factory one from the original pump and with a razor blade trim the rubber on the pump side around the outside edge of the cutout that looks like a crescent moon
3: remove the original fuel pump connector and either sodder/crimp on a new plug compatible with the one on the walbro or do what i did and sodder the walbro pump directly to the remaining section of wire/plug that connects to the external harness. i chose to sodder and heat-shrink instead crimp connectors because sugar fuel may conduct electricity (disclaimer on the walbro e85 pump says all connectors must be insulated) i left the original tank cradle plug intact and unmodified
with my install the walbro 460lph pump fit into the stock cradle at exactly the same height as the factory pump and place the pickup exactly level and in the same location/orientation as factory
a small section of fuel hose replaces the oring cup. to ensure it doesn't back off under pressure a screw driver inserted into the remaining metal pipe section and wobbled around stretches and flares the pipe sufficiently to keep the clamp in place ( i used 10mm use to match the pumps barb fitting but this is slightly too large for the metal pipe the hose does however sufficiently compress to seal)
