Evo Guards

I got evo guards to put on my GSR with the EVO front bar and bonnet, the bonnet is aluminium and I'm sure I read somewhere that the guards are also but they are infact steel. Is it just later model EVO's that have alluminium front guards? Could some one shed some light?

i don't think they are aluminium.. i remember them being similar weight to gsr guards..

Evo 1/2/3 guards are definitely steel.

only the evo 5 and up have aluminium guards

then the e9 was aluminium roof as well

Yes its a common misconception that 1st Gen Evos got Aluminium gaurds. As allready mentioned they didnt appear until the Evo V. To use a favourite line of my boss... "Assumption is the mother of all Fuckups"

Theres so much misinformation on the internet its dissapointing sometimes.
