does anyone know if the air-flow of the evo III afm is larger than the GSR; and also (probably asking too much) by how much!! (L/m^3 wtc)

also, those that have upgraded from gsr to evo afms; have you noticed improved flow??
how much should i be paying for a working evo III/ gsr afm?
thanx

Yes it is better, but by how much i am unsure!

I am in the process of purchasing an evoIII AFM and ECU/injectors to suit!

i am paying $450 for AFM and ECU:wink:

Better than GSR anyway

But isn't a magna afm the same as an evo one? I mean you can pick them up form the wreckers for like $40
 i never thought of that.... i mean verada's come with twinspot calipers (same size as E1-3), and the v6 produces about the same power as the E1-3 4g63; so it would make sense

evo's had like 3 honeycomb sections
the gsr has the same shape but has only 1 honeycomb section

evo's are much bigger
they are like the magna's..

with an evo 609 the standard gsr ecu can read it as well so instant intake upgrade plug n play The magna's i have seen used and also one from a triton but im sure they were with a chip to make it work
Ive got both here might shoot some pics so you can see the differance

gsr at the top magna evo style at the bottom evo/magna flows and a huge noticible improvment after fitting it evo maf cost me $80 at wreaker and the rubber elbow was from another wreaker off a magna $10

after looking at them both next to each other I would say at least 30% extra flow rate the evo has over the gsr maf.

i wouldnt swap to a EVO afm from a gsr one without either moving to an EVO ecu, or chipping the gsr one. This is because the compensations are different for each AFM and will result in your mixtures being wrong.

never had an issue with when I swapped over to evo maf at all and that was before it got a chipped ecu mine is a jspec gsr tho.
