Ive recently installed EVO piping onto my GSR engine all the way throught out except up to the throttle body, where it reduces down to the standard GSR size.
The evo piping has a larger diameter than the standard GSR piping.

I have been thinking about purchasing one of these:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...m=230019206480&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=013

So that the piping is of the same diameter all the way into the throttle body.

How would this affect driving, response, fuel economy, etc.
Pros / Cons?

yup cheap upgrade and well worth it..

it was already on when i bought the car so i wouldn't be able to tell you the difference between the two.. i didn't notice it at first until i saw my friends gsr engine bay and noticed i had a different one..

fuk that man just go to pinch a part and get a throttle body off a magna.....bolts staight up and its shit loads cheaper!!!!! cost me $15

throttle body

Hey magna throttle body is the way to go i bolted mine up a few months ago all you have to do is spin the throttle position sensor 180degrees. all the parts even have the same part number so that not a problem and the size is a big difference.

have a look the magna one is the one on the left.

The throttle body is off a 3l sohc kr verada/magna. Ill have a look and see if it fits a vr4.

yes it does fit vr4 throttle bodys, I've been running this set up for around two years now and I ported the intake plenum to match as there is around 3.5mm all round to mill or port to get it to match, best mod I've done since the evo fmic and piping.

BTW OT I have a Bushur racing 63mm o/d throttle body elbow in near new condishion if someone want to take it off my hands PM me an offer

where can i get one of these magna tb, and also, do i need a gasket for it?
or do i use my existing gasket?

how much are they?

An XF T/B means you need a aftermarket ECU

The magna one would be easier, rewiring the TPS coudlnt be that hard at all. just take it to an auto elec if youre unsure.
