Evo X Bov max boost?

Wanted to see if anyone is running the steel Evo X bovs or even 8 MR what boost is it holding?

Recently got my car tuned and cant get it to hold over 17psi Im thinking maybe bov or wastegate isnt holding closed..

Just whatever comes on an FP 18g im assuming just the standard pressure? My tuner thinks the turbo wont go any higher but it goes upto 21 then drops off to 17 i was led to believe 18gs efficiency range was 22psi so doesnt make sense to me..

Try taking the valve off and spraying the piston with some lube, it could be jamming open. Although if it was you would be struggling to build boost also.

If it goes to 21 then drops off..something is releasing that pressure. Tried a boost controller to force the gate to stay shut longer?
You could also remove bov and block off the hole and see if that helps build boost?

Yeah im running an avcr. I thought of blocking it off but wont it hurt the engine adding 4psi without extra fuel? If it works ofcourse

You still have AFM...do you have AFR guage?

An AVC-R is an awesome EBC, I love how they get the boost to ramp up so fast.

I'm not certain of the X but the VIII bov will hold up to 25psi.
Your assumption of the 18g being efficient at 22psi sounds correct to me dude.
Must be wastegate actuator issue, even though the avc-r is an awesome thing to behold. Maybe the actuator has a faulty diaphragm? Have a spare at all?
