I wandered down for a look, it seemed like a pretty good day.
A mate of mine went 4th overall, running deep into the 1:06s which was awesome. The car is a daily driver with stuff all mods, so it was pretty impressive watching him beat a lot of the big cars out there.
Watching Martin Notaras run the 1:03 was amazing too .. he made it look so easy!

Rumour has it EvoNats will be held at *Winton next year so about time we saw some Melb T4G rookies enter and get in some track work around the twisty stuff

A few of us had a big debate on EVO OZ about the non evo's competing. ie early GVR4's / lancer GSR's / lancer GSR's with 4g63 conversions etc.
They said no. If it is not an EVO, it is not allowed.
I believe if it is not an LANCER EVO, it is not allowed.
So that also means no LANCER RALLIART's + wagons etc too....
So its a no for alot of us.
That is why we've been posting up EOI for T4G events but interest seems quite low atm.

) comments made by a few members. Pisses me off that some people would denounce or DISS if you will, the older fraternity,despite the love for our brand of cars.I would like to see some form of "4G Nationals" formed, perhaps "Mitsubishi 4G Nationals" sounds better!
Maybe one day we can put all our differences aside and make a truly national Mitsubishi event, perhaps like the Dutton rally, whereas there can be different rounds in other states and even though the most hardcore will travel to all if not most of the events, everyone can be a potential contender for the title!
Unfortunately you need a dedicated group of individuals to work on this for weeks and months years even to start,plan and organise. Everyone has a busy life to start with and its a hard thing to to get going!
Heres hoping it sparks some interest Baz!

I am hearing you. Half of my posts got deleted, because a certain moderator couldn't handle people giving a opinion that was not the same as his. The reason i made a suggestion was because, the insurances and oh&s policies required for a private track day, are just to much for a small community of old school enthusiasts.
If i was to go to the effort of organising this (Sydney only at this stage) I would hope that Team4g members would participate
