ive got one on mine, i can send u some pics if u want?
pics would be great

how big is the resonator

my exhaust is pretty loud right now, only has a straight through magnaflow right at the end

just need to quiten it a bit

i got this muffler from the dump for 25 bucks today!!

works a treat!...cept is a bit restrictive...but i dont really care about too much restriction....its only a nimbus after all! :p

actually from the looks of your exhaust and size of muffler your using its not going to be that loud, but on boost its a different story but should let you pass epa,

from experience, doesnt always work but its not far off with exhaust systems, ther is a formula for this to tune your exhaust for sound db, there in my physics books somwere cbf finding it, but from all the custom exhaust i have done this is how they turn out:

cat-> res-> res-> muffler: Stock system restrictive but silence
cat-> res-> res-> cannon: deep note at idle, annoyongly loud droning noise (eg: hondas)
cat-> res-> cannon(tuned): deep at idle, growels yet wont get epa
cat-> res-> muffler(high flow): nice note, good flow, might be loud
cat-> muffler(high flow): nice note, depends were along the system this is put
cat-> muffler(high flow)-> res: deep note at idle, high pitch at hi revs
cat-> muffler(high flow)-> cannon: deep note at idle, deep bark at high revs
they are the combination i have had a play with on other peoples cars.

if any one wants more info just ask but i'm sure you guys know what your doing.....

yeah my muffler is fucking huge!

it sounds nice and deep on idle and actually gets quieter as u rev it!.... but thats just free revving and i got it up to about 7 psi free revving...so yeah...it can only get louder as i boost it :D but yeah its not loud at about 4 thousand revs which is where the decibels are measured at the epa isnt it?

cheers :D

i believe it is at 3000rpm when they measure the epa noise level, but depends on the "officer" that pulls you over but legaly its at 3000rpm. would proly get louder by 5-10db or so while under load but you going to notice more of the popping when your engine braking, but your goin to freak people when they hear a nimbus boosting and popping while your driving..... hehheh only one question for ya kayarubin, did you use any flange plates at all on your exhaust?? cause i didnt see any on the pics.....

nah mate no flange's except to the turbo......is that a bad thing?

im gonna use zorst clamps on the muffler tho so i can take it off when im at the drags and what not for that little bit extra power! :D or i mite use a couple of flanges...either way works! :D

oh and with the talk of na exhausts...i used one nearly straight thru muffler on my old engine with a 2 inch system!....it sounded so gay!...but i CBF gettin a couple of resonators put in....sounded like a rotary....even sounded more rotary-ish than a rotary i was driving next to!....lol!

cheers! :D

yer dude its a good idea, makes it easier to take things off just in case for maintenance, there only like $20 a pair so y not. and if your takin the muffler off at the drags replace it with a "test pipe" soo the entire system still has the same brackets for safety..... and maybe just maybe see a flame come out the butt....... should be fun.....

ive had a 15" resinator put on my car after the cat. it dropped it from 100db to 90db. so if you know how loud your car is...

i just bought my new muffler tonight... its about 15 inchs long and 5-6 inches round with a 3 inch inlet and 4-5 inch tip on the end of it.

i'm not sure if i'll need a resonator or not... i want it to flow as good as possible but not attract the wrong kind of attention, yet still sound nice.

the guy doing my exhaust isn't easy to persuade to gut out the cat... does anybody know really how much of an effect a cat has on a wideband 02 sensor reading when it's stuck in the tailpipe?
