when i brought my gsr 4yrs ago i had clutch slip dramas (3-4-5th gear about 1-2s)on totally stock setup & 12psi. It used to come and go with full load driving to launching. Anyway until start of last year i ran my cousin hsv 2003 stock i had tiny exh mod, 12psi. I did a super launch then gsr began to slip from 5000rpm (depressed clutch) it slipped to around 7500-8000rpm (1st gear) then when i got speed i quick shifted to 2nd (no slip) gear then 3rd (no slip) and cousin was a clear 1 car in front but not gaining. After all this ive done intercooler, proper exhaust, other small mods & 14psi and clutch hasnt slipped at all since even when i tried out my 25psi stable overboost session and no slip in 3rd-4th or 5th??? :? Anyway help needed here i reckon i might have a faulty main seal taking in oil through to contaminate the clutch friction or could the slave cylinder have repressuriesed itself to fully clamp the pressure plate to GRAB the clutch f-plate?? or ive got pure luck and have a heavy duty after slipping cleaned the friction lining clean?
wth?? can anyone help me out here? im going nuts.. if i get ideas, i then wont go nuts. thanks. :?     :? :?

do you find it slips more when it gets hot?

if you're going to upgrade, i'd suggest going something more heavy duty over the standard clutch.

there's shitloads of different types you can get. all depends on the feel you want, the power you want, etc.

I can tell you one thing if i thrash it in a bit here and ther on one day couple of times full load, i can do it many times as i want and clutch wont slip thru gears (btw i even used to have 12psi 2nd gear slip rarely) my clutch pedal pressure is stiff compared to feathery ones. Ive heard good ones going around exedy brass puck style or full. I guess i stick to this one to see if it ever lets goes.

My old clutch was hard. It was a daiken.

I had my master/slave cyclinders replaced (Leaking fluid). Then my clutch was replaced with an Exedy Heavy Duty Sports Tuff clutch. Its much nicer feel/softer pedal and grips excellent :D

The only thing is this rubbing noise when the clutch engages, but meh.

Oh btw, you might want a new clutch pedal bracket too, unless you want your car towed like me a few months ago, eheh.
